Axbram 13 years ago #4 I used to have a problem with Kaspersky anti-virus where the Steam Community didn't work when Kaspersky was on. They've fixed it now, but maybe it's your anti-virus which is blocking the Steam Community, if you have a relatively obscure one.
Yes, Valve does provide multiple Left 4 Dead 2 servers in different regions, and I've never seen the official servers go offline ever since I got the game three years ago on Steam.
